In the mid-1970s, life and career designing became a focus, with the work being done while living in the USA, using American spelling and vocabulary.
By the early 80s, the location of the work shifted to London, bringing with it the adoption of British spelling and vocabulary. In the late 90s, a move back to Scotland, led to incorporating a bit of Scottish vocabulary.
As a result, the articles, newsletters, and designs created over the years display a variety of spelling and vocabulary. For instance, a word commonly used may appear with different spellings in US and British English. It’s not uncommon to see an organisation become an organization (or vice versa) without any particular reason.
Instead of updating these writings, they have been preserved as originally written, in the hope that they remain useful—even if occasionally puzzling or amusing.
Additionally, some stories may sound familiar, possibly because they have been told more than once in various writings. After all, some stories are good enough to be repeated!
